Manual installation

I need to do a manual installation as my server does not allow the use of install scripts for security reasons. However, I cannot even find the mysql database tables files!! Can someone point me in the right direction? Is there any instructions for the manula install?

kind Regards

The database table definitions are in admin/include/createdb.php, but some of the initial data is created dynamically in admin/include/createdb.php and in install.php.

If you do not wish to install the system using the provided install.php script, I would suggest performing the install on another machine and then copying the database tables over.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I would like to use the script but we are hosting externally and it is not allowed, and I do not have access to another machine to generate the tables externally. Is there another way to get my hands of the tables (do you have a set of blank tables)?

I can see how I could construct the tables from the createdb.php file but would I be able to generate the data you mention manulally or via the ojs control panel? (I have managed to set up the tables but I have not been able to insert the data as outlined in the createdb file as it keeps coming up with errors, I don't think I have removed all the php code. I have also noticed that there are some alter table comands which I have not got going)

Is the 'initial data' you mention data that can be added later?

Sorry for the rather naive questions, my computer sql skills are fairly limited.
