What to do if you have a technical problem with OJS:
1. Search the forum
. You can do this from the Advanced Search Page
or from our Google Custom Search
, which will search the entire PKP site. If you are encountering an error, we especially recommend
searching the forum for said error.
2. Check the FAQ
to see if your question or error has already been resolved.
3. Post a question

We have selected on our site two languages for our journals - Russian and English.
Under the menu Home > User > Journal Management > Languages
we have tried to allow the system to enter Title and Abstract metadata in two languages.
We have checked the boxes with options:
Language options Title image, page header, etc. will be uploaded in each of the journal's languages.
Authors should be asked to provide titles and abstracts in the other language(s), with the option of having this done by journal staff.
Strange enough, the selection can not be saved!
Could you suggest where the problem might be?

You might have incorrect file permissions in your cache directory that are preventing the journal settings from being written; make sure that everything in the cache directory (and all subdirectories) can be written to by the web server user.
