Forum rules
What to do if you have a technical problem with OJS:

1. Search the forum. You can do this from the Advanced Search Page or from our Google Custom Search, which will search the entire PKP site. If you are encountering an error, we especially recommend searching the forum for said error.

2. Check the FAQ to see if your question or error has already been resolved.

3. Post a question, but please, only after trying the above two solutions. If it's a workflow or usability question you should probably post to the OJS Editorial Support and Discussion subforum; if you have a development question, try the OJS Development subforum.

Is it possible to add a second site administrator after the system is up and running. I can find no means of doing so even within site management/administrative functions. But, I am new to OJS and may be overlooking the obvious.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Hi Stuart,

The Site Administrator role is the only role that can not be granted via the web interface. Typically there is only one admin account per installation, created at the time of installation, but if you want to grant an additional user admin privileges, you can insert the role manually into the database in the roles table using a journal_id of 0 and a role_id of 1.
