What to do if you have a technical problem with OJS:

1. Search the forum. You can do this from the Advanced Search Page or from our Google Custom Search, which will search the entire PKP site. If you are encountering an error, we especially recommend searching the forum for said error.

2. Check the FAQ to see if your question or error has already been resolved.

3. Post a question, but please, only after trying the above two solutions. If it's a workflow or usability question you should probably post to the OJS Editorial Support and Discussion subforum; if you have a development question, try the OJS Development subforum.

Postby JcDenaes » Fri Nov 17, 2006 6:47 pm

Hi again,

Here is a problem I have on the test server and on the one of the journal:

All reading tools are giving a 404.

I have searched for a similar remark on the forum but nothing.

Any ideas ?

Thanks for all !

Hi Jc,

This is a known issue that has been corrected in the CVS version. To get your Reading Tools working, you can either select a discipline for Related Items, or you can patch the bug by applying http://pkp.sfu.ca/cvs/cvsweb.cgi/ojs2/pages/rt/RTHandler.inc.php.diff?r1=1.36;r2=1.37. Let me know if you need instructions on applying the patch.

Hi Alec

How can I apply this patch? I don't know how to modify the code trough cvs files.

Lot of thanks,
Rafael

Hi Rafael,

See http://pkp.sfu.ca/support/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1342 for information on how to apply a patch. The one noted above needs -p1, not -p0.

[SOLVED] Reading tools 404 not found

Postby ata_gp » Mon Feb 12, 2007 5:40 am

I solved the problem with readingtools (error 404 not found), downloading the latest version of RTHandler.inc.php at http://pkp.sfu.ca/cvs/cvsweb.cgi/ojs2/p ... er.inc.php

I use OJS 2.1.1 version
