Forum rules
What to do if you have a technical problem with OJS:

1. Search the forum. You can do this from the Advanced Search Page or from our Google Custom Search, which will search the entire PKP site. If you are encountering an error, we especially recommend searching the forum for said error.

2. Check the FAQ to see if your question or error has already been resolved.

3. Post a question, but please, only after trying the above two solutions. If it's a workflow or usability question you should probably post to the OJS Editorial Support and Discussion subforum; if you have a development question, try the OJS Development subforum.

Hi,

We've noticed that not all of the code seems to be read on Firefox for our journal's homepage. Specifically the </p> is not read on Firefox so the text is all one paragraph, although this is not a problem with Safari or Explorer. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Liz

Hi Liz,

Try running it through the W3C validator at http://validator.w3.org; this might turn up an HTML bug. Otherwise, post your URL here or contact me personally if you'd rather not make it public yet. Either way, I'll have a quick look.

Actually I figured out the HTML error - thanks again!

We were also wondering what the best way to go about changing/adding text to the "Current Issue" page. We do not have issues available through OJS, although we would like to link people from here to our subscription options.

Thanks,

Liz

Hi Liz,

The easiest way is probably to hack the templates; the "current" and "archive" links lead to the templates/issue/current.tpl and templates/issue/archive.tpl templates. You'll probably also want to hide links into functions that'll be misleading if you're not using OJS to publish, like "Search", "Browse", etc.
