What to do if you have a technical problem with OJS:

1. Search the forum. You can do this from the Advanced Search Page or from our Google Custom Search, which will search the entire PKP site. If you are encountering an error, we especially recommend searching the forum for said error.

2. Check the FAQ to see if your question or error has already been resolved.

3. Post a question, but please, only after trying the above two solutions. If it's a workflow or usability question you should probably post to the OJS Editorial Support and Discussion subforum; if you have a development question, try the OJS Development subforum.

Changing the period of time allowed for a review?

In setup step 2, I made the following setting:

Review Time
The typical period of time allowed for reviews: 4 weeks
Note: Can be modified during the editorial process.

Although it says here that the typical period can be modified during the review process, I cannot find a way to do this - other than simply changing the date in the email to the reviewer, which causes the problem that the reply email from the reviewer will contain the original date again as well as the journal system still works with the original date throughout the whole editorial process.

Is there a better way to do this?

Kind regards

Hi Sebastian,

You can click on the review's due date before the request email is sent to change the date that will appear in the email and be used for automated reminders.
