What to do if you have a technical problem with OCS:

1. Search the forum. You can do this from the Advanced Search Page or from our Google Custom Search, which will search the entire PKP site. If you are encountering an error, we especially recommend searching the forum for said error.

2. Check the FAQ to see if your question or error has already been resolved. Please note that this FAQ is OJS-centric, but most issues are applicable to both platforms.

3. Post a question, but please, only after trying the above two solutions. If it's a workflow or usability question you should probably post to the OCS Conference Support and Discussion subforum; if you have a development question, try the OCS Development subforum.

Hi Ramón,

That function is available in the StaticPagesDAO -- it's called getStaticPagesByConferenceId.

Hello Alec,

I'm still playing with the plugins, however, I would like to propose a suggestion.

Would it be possible for the Static Pages Plugin to add a new page to the Navigation Menu?
That would be the best solution, as most of the static pages are related to the conference.
Furthermore, the content is usually related to the Scheduled Conference but, since no one uses more than one scheduled conference anyway (mainly because of the impossibility to change the layout for a scheduled conference...), they should appear in that section, instead of the main menu, which is basically for more general info (at least that's how we understand the information architecture...).

We have someone looking into this, but any pointers in this direction would be appreciated.
If we manage to have an updated Static Pages Plugin, we'll send it to you for evaluation.

Hi Ramón,

Unfortunately I don't think it'll be a good general solution for the OJS community unless there is a fair amount of control over how it works. There are lots of ways to use the static pages plugin that shouldn't result in the page's addition to the menu; think e.g. of previous content licenses that are linked from content, or journal history pages that are linked from "About", etc. In these cases TinyMCE fields will provide links to the content and a menu entry probably isn't desirable.

That said, another option would be to have a little bit of configuration to go with each static page, i.e. controlling whether or not it appears in a menu...
