1. Search the forum. You can do this from the Advanced Search Page or from our Google Custom Search, which will search the entire PKP site. If you are encountering an error, we especially recommend searching the forum for said error.

2. Check the FAQ to see if your question or error has already been resolved.

3. Post a question, but please, only after trying the above two solutions. If it's a workflow or usability question you should probably post to the OJS Editorial Support and Discussion subforum; if you have a development question, try the OJS Development subforum.

Statistics parse problem

Postby Demorg » Tue Mar 11, 2014 5:23 am

We installed OJS 2.3.6 (Url www.wydawnictwoumk.pl/czasopisma/ ). Next we upgrade it to 2.3.8, 2.4.2 and 2.4.3. After last update statistics are ceased generate. We now about new way of generate it and we do all things write on wiki (http://pkp.sfu.ca/wiki/index.php?title= ... _Framework). Daily log files are save in files/usageStats/usageEventLogs, and daily at 14:00~14:10 Acron parse loge files, and move it to archive directory (reject is empty), but any logs save on database, and we don't have any statistic after update. We try also run it from ssh cli (http://pkp.sfu.ca/wiki/index.php?title= ... #Processes) but the effect is the same. In attachment we include today log file (usage_events_20140311.log).

Maybe you have any idea how to parse this files?

Thank you in advance

Hi Demorg,

What makes you sure that you don't have statistics? Can you try to generate an usage statistics report?

Thanks,
Bruno

Yes, and it's empty. The same is with custom reports.

Hi Demorg,

Can you do a query to make sure if there is no data inside the metrics table?

Code: Select all
select * from metrics;

Also, what do you have in your config.inc.php file for the base_url option?

Thanks
Bruno

In config.inc.php I have:
base_url = "http://wydawnictwoumk.pl/czasopisma"

Query returns only data before update.

Hi Demorg,

Can you apply all the recommended patches? The list is here: http://pkp.sfu.ca/wiki/index.php?title= ... ed_Patches

Also, if that's not a problem to you, can you send your database so I can try to process the files here?

Thanks,
Bruno
