Problems with OAI-PMH validation

Postby rubenboada » Mon Feb 24, 2014 4:11 am

Hi,

I am having problems with OAI-PMH validation in my repository. I tried to pass many validators and everyone shows different errors. The OAI-PMH base URL is http://raco.cat/index.php/raco/oai and the validators that I passed are:

http://oval.base-search.net/
http://validator.oaipmh.com/
http://www.openarchives.org/data/regist ... vider.html

The first validator said:

ERROR: Identify response well-formed but invalid: Element '{http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema}import': Failed to parse the XML resource 'http://oai.dlib.vt.edu/OAI/metadata/toolkit.xsd'.

The second said that the administrador's email and OAI-PMH protocol version are invalids, and I reviewed the XML response and this two parameters seems OK...:

Invalid OAI-PMH protocol version .
Invalid adminEmail .

XML response:

<protocolVersion>2.0</protocolVersion>
<adminEmail>raco@csuc.cat</adminEmail>

The last doesn't show any error.

So, what is the problem? I didn't change OAI-PMH version and few weeks ago I also checked my OAI-PMH contents with the same validators and was all OK.

Thanks in advance,

Hi Rubén,

Unfortunately I'm not sure what's happening here either -- looking at the XML response served at the URL above, everything looks fine to me.
