add DOI to article template

Postby anagisbert » Mon Feb 03, 2014 1:31 am

Hi there!

I would like to display the DOI in the article template, between the author and the abstract information (DOI: xxxx) . example: http://revistes.eapc.gencat.cat/index.p ... .8030.01.9

Reading other topics, I know that I have to add {$article->getDOI()|escape} to \templates\article\article.tpl.

The problem is that I don't know how to program in PHP so I'd like to know how the exact instruction should be and I would copy it just after this part of the code: <div id="authorString"><em>{$article->getAuthorString()|escape}</em></div>
<br />

Thanks a lot for your help!!!

Hi Ana,

You've pretty much figured out how to do it. Just add that string to the template file in the spot you want the DOI to appear. Have you tried it?
