Forum rules
This forum is meant for general questions about the usability of OJS from an everyday user's perspective: journal managers, authors, and editors are welcome to post questions here, as are librarians and other support staff. We welcome general questions about the role of OJS and how the workflow works, as well as specific function- or user-related questions.

What to do if you have general, workflow or usability questions about OJS:

1. Read the documentation. We've written documentation to cover from OJS basics to system administration and code development, and we encourage you to read it.

2. take a look at the tutorials. We will continue to add tutorials covering OJS basics as time goes on.

3. Post a question. Questions are always welcome here, but if it's a technical question you should probably post to the OJS Technical Support subforum; if you have a development question, try the OJS Development subforum.

How to enable references in summary section

Postby rokc » Wed Jan 22, 2014 5:56 am

I cannot add references to article's summary. I have only option to add abstract, title etc. but not references. I tried to find settings in journal management - setup but I couldn't...
thanks for any advice!

Hi Rok,

1) What version of OJS are you using?

2) Where are your references entered? (Are you using the plain-text "References" field during submission, or are you using the Citation Markup Assistant?)

Hi!

1) Actually, I don't know - i do not have site administrator rights. I have to ask.

2) I don't know if I solved this issues or not. Because at this moment I do not want to us citation markup assistant (i am not familiar with it) and that's way i haven't marked this option until now...
In the setup (submissions) I marked "Enable the Citation Markup Assistant" and afterwards I was able to add references. Author can submit references as plain text now. Is this the right way?

Thanks!
