Series introduction page

Postby heidelberg » Tue Oct 08, 2013 3:49 am

as we are already using OJS for years now, we would like to offer OMP to our users, too.
But we ran into the following problem:
The editors of one series ask for their own interface (with their own information like contact, policies, submission guideline, their own "title-carousel"), which would be similar to the press homepage.
So is it possible to build up a subordinate page for a series (without starting several parallel presses)? Is there maybe a plugin that would allows us
to add static pages?

Or is there another way to solve this problem?

Hi Stefanie,

Right now, most of the things that you mentioned are only available at the press level. The 'series' home page would have only those entries in that series present in the carousel, but everything else (contact info, submission guidelines, etc) is for the press. Off the top of my head, one of the difficulties in doing it at the series-level would be that submissions are tied to a press, and series information is added after, rather than beginning the submission process in a series.

Also, currently, the static pages plugin that exists in OJS has not been ported to OMP. We are looking at mechanisms to implement that sort of thing, though.
