Uploading a PDF to series description

Postby stefan » Mon Sep 16, 2013 12:35 am

Hi,

Series editors asked me to put a pdf with guidelines for authors onto the webpage with the series description. Is there a canonical way to do this? I could just put the PDF somewhere and link to it, but I would prefer a way that can be used by the series editors themselves. This seems to be missing.

Thanks

Stefan

Hi Stefan,

No, right now that functionality doesn't exist. How would you envision it working? A file upload with a link built automatically? Did this documentation need to be restricted to authors or people registered in the press?

Hi,

I think for our case a simple web-page functionality would be required. Yes, uploading a file and adding a link to it. I think a restriction to registered users is not necessary. It would also run counter the overall open spirit of OA projects. (But who knows what other editors would prefer ...)

Best
