This forum is meant for general questions about the usability of OJS from an everyday user's perspective: journal managers, authors, and editors are welcome to post questions here, as are librarians and other support staff. We welcome general questions about the role of OJS and how the workflow works, as well as specific function- or user-related questions.

What to do if you have general, workflow or usability questions about OJS:

1. Read the documentation. We've written documentation to cover from OJS basics to system administration and code development, and we encourage you to read it.

2. take a look at the tutorials. We will continue to add tutorials covering OJS basics as time goes on.

3. Post a question. Questions are always welcome here, but if it's a technical question you should probably post to the OJS Technical Support subforum; if you have a development question, try the OJS Development subforum.

I reset my password with MySQL, I have lost my access to OJS

Hello Alec,

I am Godaddy user, and everything was perfectly fine until I attempted to find config.inc.php file to make some changes in favor of Harvester adjustments. SInce I did not recall my database password, I reset my password with MySQL, but I have lost my access to OJS:( Should I chance something in phpAdmin? I use MySQL on Linux for OJS. Some forums say I need to change the password in the database, and refer to "again" config.inc.php type of file, I spent 3 hours, I can't locate this neither in FTP Files, nor in php admin, please advise.

It seems that if can find this php file, I will resolve all of my problems.

Hi,

I founded config.inc.php in ojs folder (FTP Files in Godaddy). (First I had tried to find it in ojs folder-->class-->Nearly all subfolders.) I opened it and replace the old password with the new one. Then, the connection error is disappeared.

Thank you.
