DOI export to RefWorks

Postby nef » Fri Aug 30, 2013 6:58 am

Hi
One of our OJS journals, Journal of Organization Design (JOD) http://www.jorgdesign.net/index, is using DOI. The pre- and suffix are registered under The Setup. But unfortunately I do not get any DOI informations when I make an export to RefWorks via the 'How to Cite'. We're running the 2.3.7.0 version of OJS.
On the PKP Wiki I see that you mention a DOI plugin, but I can't find it under the Systems Plugins. Is it because of the version?
We are testing the 2.4.2.0 and there I find it under Systems Plugins > Public Identifier Plugins and not under Generic (as you mention in the Wiki).
Perhaps I need that plugin to make the DOI visible under the metadata?

Or do the problem relates to the 'How to Cite'? Perhaps it needs a little update? Now that DOI should be citet in the bibliography.

Hi Neils Erik,

The DOI support has improved in OJS 2.4.x over what was available in 2.3.x; however, DOIs are still not included in the RefWorks citation plugin. I've filed this for consideration at http://pkp.sfu.ca/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=8415.
