Different page in Danish and English UI

Postby nef » Mon Jun 10, 2013 5:50 am

Hi
I'm testing version 2.4.2 and in Step 3 where the author is entering the submissions metadata, the English and the Danish page doesn't correspond. In the Danish edition the URL field is marked with an asterisk (*), that's not desirable. The order of the fields differs too.
Best regards
NEF

Hi NEF,

I'm confused -- the English and Danish pages both come from the same template, so I'm not sure how they could possibly be delivering the fields in different orders. Are you testing on the same installation, or on two different ones?

Hi NEF,

Can you send me a URL to your installation so I can login and test a few hypotheses?

Thanks,

Hi NEF,

I've registered as an author, but attempting to submit an article runs me into http://pkp.sfu.ca/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=8252, so I can't make a test submission. I've asked Tom for more information on that bug so hopefully we can get it resolved too, but in the meantime, could you PM me test credentials that already have a submission in progress?

Hi NEF,

Thanks for the details. I've managed to track this down: it's related to new authors vs. existing authors, which have fields presented in a different order. Using the language toggle triggered the problem. (You'll note that switching back to English still presents author fields in the different order.)

I've filed this at http://pkp.sfu.ca/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=8263 and a patch should be posted there shortly. If you could try the patch and confirm your results, that would be very helpful.

Thanks for reporting!
