I have been asked by one of our users if the prepared email - SUBMISSION ABSTRACT ACCEPT, can be sent automatically when an abstract is accepted.
Is this possible? and if so, how would I go about doing this?

To send that message automatically would require minor code modifications. Generally the "editor decision" emails are among the most critical in the system so we've left them largely without boilerplate text -- you can always customize them permanently in the Manager's "Prepared Emails" interface.
