Email Logs

Postby kayiwa » Tue May 21, 2013 11:14 am

Yet another migration problem. We have found that articles that have transactions between our upgrade from 2.1.1 and 2.4.2 do not show up on the web interface. We are trying to reverse engineer the fix and are doing this thus far.

We are taking articles with the following query from 2.1.1

Code: Select all
INSERT INTO `ojsnew_2_4_2.email_log` (`log_id`, `article_id`, `sender_id`, `date_sent`, `ip_address`, `event_type`, `assoc_type`, `assoc_id`, `from_address`, `recipients`, `cc_recipients`, `bcc_recipients`, `subject`, `body`)
VALUES
   (');

We notice that ojsnew_2_4_2.email_log does not have `article_id`

Thanks for pointing us in a direction to solve this to speed up the process. What we can best determine is the index: email_log_users that would also have to be updated with the
log_id and the related user_id.

Any other *gotcha's* to look out for?

Hi kayiwa,

There should be a submission_id column in the new schema; that's the same as the old article_id column (the upgrade process should rename it). This is done so that code and tables can be shared with other applications like OMP (which calls submissions "monographs").
