What to do if you have a technical problem with OJS:

1. Search the forum. You can do this from the Advanced Search Page or from our Google Custom Search, which will search the entire PKP site. If you are encountering an error, we especially recommend searching the forum for said error.

2. Check the FAQ to see if your question or error has already been resolved.

3. Post a question, but please, only after trying the above two solutions. If it's a workflow or usability question you should probably post to the OJS Editorial Support and Discussion subforum; if you have a development question, try the OJS Development subforum.

Hi Alec, I trashed them and the site went blank.
No worries. I made a copy first and placed the 300 something files back. Now I have a website again.
But problems with Tinymce are still there. :(

Hi gemusehandler,

It's likely that your file permissions are set incorrectly there, so OJS is unable to re-create the files. Check docs/README for some discussion of file permissions.

Hello all,
I have the same problem but none of the solutions here did not work.
What I found is the path of the image can be found under the file "fc-journalSettings-1.php" under cache folder. When I update the path removing the folder name "ijhls" from the path as below:

From
/ijhls/public/site/images/obeiki/Cover_Final.jpg
To
/public/site/images/obeiki/Cover_Final.jpg

But when I refresh the page http://www.ijhls.com/index.php/IJHLS/manager/setup/5 , the path gets reverted back to "/ijhls/public/site/images/obeiki/Cover_Final.jpg".

Please guide me through this.

Regards,
Omid

Hi Omid,

What is the value of public_files_dir in your config.inc.php? (BTW, you should never edit cache files; they'll just get reverted when something changes.)

Hi Omid,

Tinymce caches its settings in a gzip file in the cache directory. Could you please delete all *.gz files from your cache directory? This should solve your problem. You can find more details in this thread: http://pkp.sfu.ca/support/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=10815.

Cheers,

Michael

My TinyMCE stopped working when I was messing with turning on and off different generic plugins. I managed to get it back when I disabled the Dataverse Plugin!

Hope this helps someone!

Hi Nicolas,

There's a bug in older versions of the Dataverse plugin that causes problems with TinyMCE fields. Here's the commit where the bug's been fixed in the OJS repo, if you want to patch the Dataverse plugin.

https://github.com/pkp/ojs/commit/f000f ... e53b0c3e58

Thanks,
