Forum rules
What to do if you have a technical problem with OCS:1.
Search the forum. You can do this from the
Advanced Search Page or from our
Google Custom Search, which will search the entire PKP site. If you are encountering an error, we
especially recommend searching the forum for said error.
2.
Check the FAQ to see if your question or error has already been resolved. Please note that this FAQ is OJS-centric, but most issues are applicable to both platforms.
3.
Post a question, but please, only after trying the above two solutions. If it's a workflow or usability question you should probably post to the
OCS Conference Support and Discussion subforum; if you have a development question, try the
OCS Development subforum.

Hello. I use OCS 2.3.3-1. I want to setup my conference for submitting "Abstract and proposal together". But during the submission process it is possible to avoid uploading proposal file (after clicking "Save and continue" without uploading a file the message "Are you sure you wish to continue without uploading a submission file?" appears). The question is how to make uploading a proposal file mandatory?

Hi Alexander,
There isn't currently a way to do this without modifying the code. If you have developer resouces on hand, ask them to take a look a the code and give it a shot. Similar questions have also been asked on the forum before -- try searching for something like "mandatory field" or "field required". If you need any pointers, let us know.
Cheers,
James

Dear James,
Could you give me some advise? I would like to try updating the source by myself. I saw a uploadSubmissionFile function at classes/author/form/submit/AuthorSubmitStep2Form.inc.php and a page template at templates/author/submit/step2.tpl. Do I need to update these 2 files? Thanks.
Regards,
Murphy
