QuickSubmit Plugin PDF?

Hello;
OJS 2.4.1

When i save article via QuickSubmit Plugin as PDF format, file format is seen as “UNTITLED” (Figure 1). And i have changed Layout-Edit Label field with file format PDF (Figure 2-3), but when i click on PDF, Save As option has appeared (Figure 4). And PDF reading page isnt opening.

In addition that when i send article as author, i am not faced with this problem.

Hi KAZIM,

Your problem is most likely with your server being unable to identify PDF files via MIME typing. Search the forums for "MIME type PDF" or similar and you'll find lots of threads on the subject.

The solution probably involves changing some PHP configuration. Could you post specifically what you've tried and what the result is?

I do not know much about php. I did the following hotfix

Replace "application/pdf" to "application/x-pdf"

This is a PHP configuration issue, not specific to OJS. OJS determines MIME types using one of three methods, taking the first one that's available:

• PHP's mime_content_type function
• PHP's fileinfo functions
• As a final fallback, the "file" tool on the server (which is available in most UNIX-based server environments).

First, determine which are available in your PHP environment; then look at the PHP documentation for each to find out how that function determines what MIME type a file represents.
