Hi Alex
We would like to add a field under '3.3 For Authors to Index Their Work'. Can we do that ourselves?
In this field we would like authors to insert associations (by means of persistent identifiers) to our Library collections (images from the collection that may appear in journal articles).
Have you had any experience in something similar? What we'd like to do is to link items in our Library catalogue to articles within our journal, thereby annotating our catalogue.
Maybe you can think of some other way of doing this?
Regards
Bobby

Hi Bobby,
Adding to the current metadata set would require a PHP programmer, although we're hoping to allow easier custom extensions of OJS's metadata set in the future. On the other hand, I'd consider embedding the links into OJS galleys (e.g. HTML and PDF) directly -- that way the image's persistent identifier would be visible directly with the image, which would be more usable than an extension of the metadata set.
