Regarding your follow-up qusetion -- that's actually still technically expected behaviour. Custom blocks are assigned to the conference website itself, and will appear in any/all scheduled conferences. Similarly, it's not that a block containing the conference information is *disappearing* when you go to the scheduled conference site -- it's that the context is changing, and the Navigation block (which includes/controls the Conference Information section) displays different information depending on the context -- and in the case of a static page, since the static page's URL doesn't include scheduled conference information, no scheduled conference information is displayed, although the rest of the block is.

Clear as mud, I know.

Hello all,

There is a database field limit on the content.
Very long pages do not fit, specially if there is a lot of HTML, such as tables, divs, lists, among others...

Hi all,

Static page contents are stored in the plugin_settings table, specifically in the setting_value column, which is a TEXT column in MySQL. That should be plenty of room. It might be worth checking the column type.

Hi,

I'm using Static Pages on OJS 2.3.6 and the pages I create are not showing up:

--The plugin successfully creates the page.

--The plugin allows me to edit and save the page.

--The page shows up on a list of pages created.

--I have confirmed that the page gets created in the MySql table 'static_pages'.

--I have confirmed that Apache 2.2 had loaded the mod_rewrite module.

But, once I create and try to view the page, I receive the 404 'Page Not Found' error.

Any ideas?

Hi Vicente,

I can't replicate this. Are you sure that you are going to the correct page path? What about if you click the "View" link next to the static page listed in the plugin edit/add page interface? Do you have some sort of rewrite rules in effect?

Hi all.
do you think it could be possible/useful to put a "Edit" button (Wikipedia-style) on Static pages?
I find kinda cumbersome the path you need to follow to Edit static pages
(Plugins > Generic plugins > Edit/Add content > View/Edit/Delete).

I actually think that a lot of pages could be given that Edit button (e.g. Articles),
that would improve a lot the work of Editors and JM.

Do you think it would be feasible?

After upgrage to 2.4.2 version I've noticed that language switch (if OJS is configured to multi language instance) doesn't work.
IE throws a JS error:
