What to do if you have a technical problem with OJS:

1. Search the forum. You can do this from the Advanced Search Page or from our Google Custom Search, which will search the entire PKP site. If you are encountering an error, we especially recommend searching the forum for said error.

2. Check the FAQ to see if your question or error has already been resolved.

3. Post a question, but please, only after trying the above two solutions. If it's a workflow or usability question you should probably post to the OJS Editorial Support and Discussion subforum; if you have a development question, try the OJS Development subforum.

Traffic and space in record on OJS2

Postby eruthes » Fri Aug 11, 2006 5:30 am

Some people, interested in my aid to install the OJS2, had asked me for some information to contract of lodging service. Things like space in record and traffic, and other relevant things.
Somebody has statisticians or information on this?

Grateful,
Eduardo Ruthes

Hi Eduardo,

I'm not sure I'm following the question, but it sounds to me like you're interested in storage statistics. Here are some typical examples:

Journal A: Small journal; 18 back-issues
- OJS installation: 21MB
- Files directory: 360MB
- Database dump: 10MB

Journal B: Large journal; 109 back-issues
- OJS installation: 21MB
- Files directory: 1491MB
- Database dump: 100MB

Let me know if you'd like more information...

Hi Eduardo,

Do you mean bandwidth? This depends entirely on your readership, of course, and not particularly on OJS, so statistics from other journals won't be helpful for this. Editorial policies, types of galleys (PDF vs. HTML) and a number of other factors will also affect this.
