I apllied cvs to ojs 2.02-1 to solve bug 2124 and read multibyte characters in autohs. It
doen't work for me. I still read an strange character when the big letter appers at the beggining of the list.
Now uses a new fuction substring, but this function string_substring 0:1 still read one and two is needed.

The data might be incorrect in the database itself; have you checked whether the author's name is presented correctly elsewhere in the system (e.g. in the Table of Contents)?
