Just curios if there is an update to the Plugin.

We're running 2.3.4.0 and when we install the plugin the Plugin Management pages fail to load.

If there isn't an update does anyone know of a patch that needs to be applied?

Great plugin, few notes and ideas.
1. Abstract html coding not facilitated by your application. e.g. <p> are showing in the abstract block
2. Landscape view, any changes that this can be accommodated
3. If multiple files are published for an article e.g. HTML, PDF, XML can a functionality appear to select the file you would like to open. At the present moment the last file uploaded e.g. XML is being picked-up by your application as the preferred format. It would be great if one could pick your preference.

Thanks, looking forward to your response. And again, great work!

I have tried to install the iPhoneGateway.tar.gz plugin but get this message:

Errors occurred processing this form:

The uploaded plugin archive does not contain a folder that corresponds to the plugin name.

I am using the 2.3.7. version of OJS

Thank you

I am really getting frustrated, am I missing a simple step? latest plugin and Open Journal Systems 2.3.7.0

I have installed to the plugin to plugins/reports and enables it in plugins menu.

On the iOJS app I have created the journal name IJMS and Journal URL as http://www.ijmsonline.org/index.php/ijms

I get returned the following:

Error! OJS Server could not be found!

I have even tried http://www.ijmsonline.org/index.php/ijms/index but that brings nothing, no error or page.

Any thoughts are much appreciated.

hello davidmmorris,

the plugin is a gateway plugin. please move it to plugins/gateways and check the readme .try to access the gateway plugin using a browser.

if the gateway works you'll get a page like this: http://www.zfhe.at/index.php/zfhe/gatew ... in/journal

Finally, after hours of searching, I was discovered some reasons for extraction issue. First of all, if you’re using a windows server not a single path in the config file will work.

||---------------------------------------------- (1) -------------------------------------------------
The first one lies within the config file (config.inc.php). Look for the following lines and make sure the configuration matches the servers config.

; perl (used in paracite citation parser)
-> check the path
; tar (used in backup plugin, translation packaging)
-> check the path
-> Problem here: windows servers do not always support .tar, .tar.gz extraction.

||---------------------------------------------- (2) -------------------------------------------------
If method 1 does not work try to directly upload the plugin into plugins/gateways. Local extraction needs to be done before! Upload the iPhoneGateway directory. The archive won’t work.

||---------------------------------------------- (3) -------------------------------------------------
File: pages/manager/PluginManagementHandler.inc.php

Command line execution is not permitted or simply wrong configured. Also Save-Mode may result in failing. For this solution you need ftp access to your server and some basic php knowledge.

Solution (which worked for me): Go to the function function uploadPlugin($function). There is a line that starts with exec(…) (which is a command line execution function). Delete it or modify it to a comment. Then insert the following code right after this line:

$zip = new ZipArchive;
$zip->open($temporaryFile->getFilePath());
$zip->extractTo($pluginDir);
$zip->close();

For this method I attached a zip version of the plugin.
