Hello,
I have a journal that would like delayed open access but not a subscription. I see that delayed open access is available in the subscription module. Can anyone please tell me if I enable subscriptions can I effectively not have a subscription so that I can take advantage of delayed open access? Or, is there another work around I haven't hit upon yet?

Hi Jennifer,
You should be able to accomplish this by enabling subscriptions under Journal Management and then setting the issue access to subscription for each issue that you publish (with an optional delayed open access date).
The above should work regardless of whether you have any subscription types setup. That being said, you may want to include a note explaining your delayed open access policy using either the additional information under Subscription Policies or as part of the delayed open access info for readers (also under Subscription Policies).
Also, by default there will be a Subscriptions link on the journal About page that takes readers to a Subscriptions page that includes contact info and lists the available subscription types -- you may want to customize the About page template and remove the link if it doesn't make sense for your journal.
