Multiple report plugin

Hi everyone,
we have developed a plugin for OCS that generates full conference proceedings reports in multiple formats (CSV,HTML,DOC). Each report consists of all the sched. conf. sections, with all articles within (title, abstract, authors). This way, we can easily generate the conference abstracts proceedings for printing, distributing or publishing. HTML format (and .doc too) is "css friendly", so customizing the output is actually quite easy.
This plugin is designed to be extended. Exporting into XML, PDF, ODT or plain text should only require to implement a single class with few methods. We have plans to add more export formats in the future, but you are encouraged to do so.

Hello Agustín,

For what version of OCS has this plugin been developed?
Testing on a stock OCS 2.3.5 the plugin doesn't install.
It's missing the version.xml file.

Hello Ramon,
We are using OCS 2.3.3.1 (in which, report plugins don't need/use version.xml); to install it, just drop the uncompressed file into plugins/reports .
We are planning to upgrade to a newer version of OCS, and in such case I guess we will adapt the plugin if required.

It seems to work fine on a 2.3.5, although my test install doesn't have papers uploaded.
It seems your plugin only generates reports for papers, am I right?

How difficult would it be to add your report formats to the user reports (registrants, especially)?
Here's my take on the standard user reports for OCS, because of unnecessary fields or removing those with HTML and long text because of CSV issues with commas.
We'd also like the "multi registrant report" to have a configuration area, so we can choose the fields we want.
This way, we can generate the attendance lists, name tag lists, certificate's lists, etc...

Hi Ramon,
It wouldn't be that difficult to include more reports to this plugin, since it was designed with that in mind. However, we can't put our hands on it right now, since we are working in higher priority projects and plugins. However, we have taken note of your proposals in our ticket system, so we will eventually implement those features into the plugin.

That is a great plugin! Congratulations and thanks for developing and sharing it.

I tested it on two OCS installations: versions 2.3.3.1 (on PHP 4.4.9) and 2.3.5 (on PHP 5.2.17). It worked only in the latter, in the former it appears a blank page while opening "Statis/reports" or "Plugins" page.

I noticed that it where exporting only metadada in Spanish idiom. So I manually changed the ReportClass/PaperDecorator.inc.php mentions to "es_ES" for the idiom I want. Maybe some code could solve it.

I also noticed that all DOC reports are been downloaded with an adittional .html extension, eg, "paper.doc.html".

I found the folowing warning message after the installation:

Warning: Call-time pass-by-reference has been deprecated in ../plugins/reports/MultiGeneratorPaperReport/ReportClass/PaperReportHTML.inc.php on line 31

So, I deleted the deprecated "&" in the refered line.

I also translated the locale information to brazilian portuguese. Here it is

Hi again,
we have extended this plugin. It can now generate a package (zip file) which contains all PDF files from galleys version of conf. papers. We found this package very useful to import conferences' papers into other systems, such as an institutional repository.

Hope you find this upgrade as useful as we do. We have plans to add new export formats in the future, but if anyone wants to contribute with any particular report, it will be welcome!.
