Apologies if this duplicates another forum message, but the only one I could see was a thread from 2009, with no definitive answer.
I've been asked to look into whether OJS can support multiple membership types
Individual (with an amount for 12 months)
Student (with a discounted amount for 12 months)
Life Member (One off payment)
60+ Life Member (One off payment, lower amount than 'Life Member').
and also subscription to journals through a non-member path (which I think it currently supports).
We're using civiCRM as the membership tool, and (I'm thinking) a processed REST API call will return a response of whether the person is already a member. This will then determine how much the journal will cost them.
I've had a quick look around and starting playing with the payment manager by adding in 'manager.payment.options.fee2' etc etc, and seeing if this gets supported automatically through the rest of the system. Struggling to see where the Association Membership option appears though!
Could anyone advise if (any of) the above is possible, or already available, and if I'm thinking about this the correct way?

I've also been looking for this. There is a feature request here: http://pkp.sfu.ca/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=7565
