Hello,
I am new as the manager of a journal using OJS. I was asked to publish the final version of an article that did not use the editing, review, workflow - however the original article was submitted that way. I managed to publish the final article but now it is still listed as "In Editing" (despite being published).
Can you please help me fix my mistake?

Hello Joanne,
It is not actually a mistake, it's just OJS being orderly and controlling all editing stages.
If I remember correctly, you'll have to close the editing steps for the article to move out of that list, but I'm not sure if you have to close them all or just the last one.
There should be a link near the end of each process to finish it.
Try closing the proofreading alone. Then, the copyediting stage and any other steps that require a third party's participation and are listed in your process.

Thanks for your response.
Still no luck. I don't see any options to close anything in the Editing page.
The following rows do not have "Complete" beside them. But there seems to be no way to mark them as complete. All I can do is resend the Request - which I don't want to do because the article is already published.
Copyediting: Author Copyedit

Am I missing something?

This first screens shows the article just after being sent to copyediting. You should have something similar to this.
You don't actually need to "complete" the copyediting, especially the author's step. Only yours, if you want.
Notice how the proofreading is set.
This next screen shows how it looks after completing the copyediting.
Again, notice how the proofreading is set, still open
To make sure the article leaves the "In editing" queue, you must close the proofreading.
The availability of email icons (proofreading and copyediting) may depend on configuring the roles for other people or editors. I'm not quite sure, as this install is not fully configured. Check your settings for an accurate confirmation.
However, you should have the links as displayed on the screenshots.
