This forum is meant for general questions about the usability of OJS from an everyday user's perspective: journal managers, authors, and editors are welcome to post questions here, as are librarians and other support staff. We welcome general questions about the role of OJS and how the workflow works, as well as specific function- or user-related questions.
What to do if you have general, workflow or usability questions about OJS:1.
Read the documentation. We've written documentation to cover from OJS basics to system administration and code development, and we encourage you to read it.
2.
take a look at the tutorials. We will continue to add tutorials covering OJS basics as time goes on.

Post a question. Questions are always welcome here, but if it's a technical question you should probably post to the
OJS Technical Support subforum; if you have a development question, try the
OJS Development subforum.

Hello, All,
We have a subscriber who asked this question:
In case that we cancel our subscription in the future, do we retain access to the material published during the subscription?
So my questsions are:
1. In the policy level, how do you handle this?
allow past subscriber to access the materials they had access before?
2. In the technical level, how do you handle this? sending them all the files? or another approach
Thanks much,
-

Hi yhan,
This is actually an option that you can configure in OJS under:
Journal Management => Subscriptions => Subscription Policies
On the Subscription Policies page, you will find the following:
Subscription Expiry
Select one of the following:
[*] Full expiry
- Readers are denied access to all subscription content upon subscription expiry.
[ ] Partial expiry
- Readers are denied access to recently published subscription content, but retain access to subscription content published prior to the subscription expiry date.
Cheers,
Michael
