How to copy journal by OJS

I mean, when you would like to host two similar journals, so can we first establish one journal, fill in all the elements. And then we just copy that journal, and create the second journal by modification based on the first one?

Hi Eugene,

There currently is no way to do this automatically, unfortunately. If you are copying the journal to an entirely new OJS instance, you can always just follow our Upgrading and Migrating instructions to migrate your install, and then modify the resulting journal settings as you see fit. In order to make a copy in the same OJS install as the original, you will have to create a new journal instance and copy your journal settings over manually.

Hi Eugene,

The easiest way to do this is probably via the database. If you create a new entry in "journals" for the new journal, and copy the contents of journal_settings from an existing journal but using the newly created journal_id, that'll get you most of the way there.

This won't bring the journal's submissions across, but I suspect you don't want those anyway, correct?
