Forum rules
This forum is meant for general questions about the usability of OJS from an everyday user's perspective: journal managers, authors, and editors are welcome to post questions here, as are librarians and other support staff. We welcome general questions about the role of OJS and how the workflow works, as well as specific function- or user-related questions.

What to do if you have general, workflow or usability questions about OJS:

1. Read the documentation. We've written documentation to cover from OJS basics to system administration and code development, and we encourage you to read it.

2. take a look at the tutorials. We will continue to add tutorials covering OJS basics as time goes on.

3. Post a question. Questions are always welcome here, but if it's a technical question you should probably post to the OJS Technical Support subforum; if you have a development question, try the OJS Development subforum.

Hi,
we have a submission with two co-authors. At the moment the user who submitted the paper cannot access ojs. We can assign this paper to the other author ?
Otherwise the revision process cannot continue.
Thanks for your reply

Hi fireport,

Unfortunately, the only way currently to share access would be to give the second author the first author's login credentials.

Cheers,
James

Hi Fireport,

Not currently, no -- but if others are interested in it, we would definitely consider adding it as a feature request.

Cheers,
James

Currently 1 journal hosted in the California Digital Library's instance of OJS would like to see functionality similar to this. In their case, a submission has many authors, and more than one of those authors would like to be active participants in the editorial process simultaneously.

Hi Justin, all,

I was about to enter a feature request for this, and it turns out to have already been suggested. See http://pkp.sfu.ca/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=2928 and http://pkp.sfu.ca/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=5483. Please feel free to CC yourselves to those reports for future updates.
