We have started uploading pdf's and other file types in the Public Folder Browser, so that we can link to these files from some of the journal pages. The intention is to grant people who are not logged into the system access to the reports and other files.
However, there is a problem. You have to be logged into the system as a Journal Manager if you want to be able to download files. If you login as a Reader, Author or Editor you cannot have access to the files.
Does anyone know why this is?
We started using the Public Files Browser because it is a "web-accessible" area - whereas the original File Browser navigates within the submission folder.
