I am trying to prevent span programs creating dummy users on my site and would like to install capcha plugin but it is not on the list of available plugins.
How would I find version of my OJS and how to get capcha.

Hi bubbleBoy,
You should modify the config.inc.php file in order to enable the Captcha function. Make sure that font is installed on your system. This the code from the file
- Code: Select all
;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
; Captcha Settings ;
;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
[captcha]
; Whether or not to enable Captcha features
captcha = on
; Whether or not to use Captcha on user registration
captcha_on_register = on
; Whether or not to use Captcha on user comments
captcha_on_comments = off
; Font location for font to use in Captcha images
font_location = /usr/share/fonts/truetype/freefont/FreeSerif.ttf
Regards,
Adam

Hi bubbleBoy,
Ask your admin whether font is installed on the server and if it supports the IMLIB library. I hope this helps.
Kind regards,
Adam
