Install OJS on root of a website without .htacess

Does anybody know how to install ojs in the base directory of a website without using mod_rewrite or .htacess? Apparently, Yahoo Small Business doesn't allow .htacess files!

That is we want to have the journal at http://www.journal.com/index.php instead of http://www.publisher.com/base/index.php .

Hi lednakashim,

I'm not familiar with Yahoo's setup, but if you just drop the OJS system files into the base directory you should be able to install right there. That is, if your web-accessible directory is something like /var/www/html/, drop all OJS system files, including the base index.php file, into that base directory so that you'll have eg. /var/www/html/index.php, /var/www/html/classes, /var/www/html/pages, etc. There's no reason OJS needs to be installed in a directory of it's own.
