What to do if you have a technical problem with OJS:
1. Search the forum
. You can do this from the Advanced Search Page
or from our Google Custom Search
, which will search the entire PKP site. If you are encountering an error, we especially recommend
searching the forum for said error.
2. Check the FAQ
to see if your question or error has already been resolved.
3. Post a question
, but please, only after trying the above two solutions. If it's a workflow or usability question you should probably post to the OJS Editorial Support and Discussion
subforum; if you have a development question, try the OJS Development
A couple of quick questions about uploading a journal-specific CSS into Section 5.6 Journal-specific Style Sheet:
Should one take the file common.css, modify only those portions requiring it, rename it as journalname.css and upload it? Does the name matter?
Should one just have the modified sections in the file? Or the whole original with any modifications?
If one only wants to change the color of the top and bottom banners, which sections to modify? Only the #header ?
And what is the height of the colored banner? Width appears to be 800 px.

Either approach will work -- that is, you can either modify the file and send the whole thing up, or you can only override the styles you change. I'd suggest just including the modified styles.
The maximum width of the logo file is all that matters. The height isn't predefined and you can make it narrower than the maximum if you like.
The filename of the journal stylesheet also doesn't matter.
To change the colours of the header and footer, override the #header and #footer styles.
