Journal description & TOC missing from IE

The journal description and table of contents for the most recent issue appear just fine in Firefox but are completely missing when viewing the journal in IE. What have I done wrong? The journal in question is at https://ojs.lib.byu.edu/spc/index.php/IssuesInReligionAndPsychotherapy.

Hi Jeff,

I don't have IE to test against, but you may be encountering an IE-specific display bug. Do you see the description and ToC if you scroll down -- that is, are they displayed below the cutoff point for the right nav bar?

In answer to your question, "No." The description and ToC do not display below the cutoff point for the right nav bar? When checking to answer your question, I also noted another thing that's missing. Right now, this journal is the only journal publicly visible on a shared OJS installation. When going to the home page for the installation rather than the journal, the description is missing there as well as the links for "View Journal," "Current Issue," and "Register."

Hi Jeff,

Have you tried disabling your custom css file to see if that might be the issue? I'm no css guru, but that'd be the first place I'd look. Everything seems to be displaying fine in Firefox (both the journal and index home pages). Try disabling the custom css to see if the text reappears: if it does, you'll have to debug your css file, and if it doesn't, let us know and we can look further.

Thanks for the suggestion to disable the css. I did so but, unfortunately, that didn't help. After doing so I played around with several other things.
The description now shows. I deleted the existing description in Site Administration, saved the "Journal Settings" record, and then reinserted the journal description and resaved the record. However, the "View Journal," "Current Issue," and "Register" links still don't show in IE. Additionally, the following curious phenomena is happening regardless of the presence or absence of the custom css.
Remember that this is a shared installation but the journal in question is the only journal publicly visible on the site right now. In the "Hosted Journals" portion of "Site Management," the journals are listed alphabetically by journal title. We're actively working with six other journals and two of them are close to being ready to make visible--one above and one below the problematic title. Wanting to know what would happen, I made all of the journals visible. Those above this title in the alphabetical listing display just fine including the links. Those below this title do not appear at all--no title, no description, no links.
Wanting to know if this was just a fluke based on the number of titles, I moved the title in question to the bottom. All titles, descriptions, and links showed. I moved it to the top and nothing else showed--just the title of this journal and its description.
Things work properly in Firefox. I also occasionally use Safari and things are fine in that browser as well. IE is where the problem is occurring.

Have you been able to see this behavior on other OJS sites, or is it just yours? If so, it might be a caching issue, or a remaining modification or something similar.

Hi Alec,

Before replying last time I made certain that the cache was cleared and ought to have made that clear. It made no difference.

I've looked at several other multi-journal installations and titles, descriptions (where they exist), and the links appear for all visible titles.

I'm not certain what you mean by "a remaining modification or something similar." What do you suggest I check?

Hi Jeff,

Could you attach a screenshot using IE? I'm using Linux so have to guess what the problem looks like. OTOH, I think this must be a CSS issue, though I'm not sure why this would affect one journal but not the others. I'll have a better idea once I see a screenshot.

Hi Jeff,

Have a look at that journal's description -- it appears to contain a bunch of MS-specific junk that probably resulted from pasting in content from Word or something similar. I suspect that's what's causing odd effects with IE.
