What to do if you have a technical problem with OCS:

1. Search the forum. You can do this from the Advanced Search Page or from our Google Custom Search, which will search the entire PKP site. If you are encountering an error, we especially recommend searching the forum for said error.

2. Check the FAQ to see if your question or error has already been resolved. Please note that this FAQ is OJS-centric, but most issues are applicable to both platforms.

3. Post a question, but please, only after trying the above two solutions. If it's a workflow or usability question you should probably post to the OCS Conference Support and Discussion subforum; if you have a development question, try the OCS Development subforum.

diasble breadcrumbs in 2.3.2.0 ?

Postby jaguar » Sat Oct 30, 2010 7:17 am

Hello I am new here. I am just wondering how to completely disable breadcrumbs. I won't be needing them.

Oh, and another thing, how to hide "current conferences" from the navigation bar. With hiding the "current conferences" I have a feeling its in Navibar.tpi, but which part to delete?

Sorry for the basic questions! Thanks so much.

Hi Jaguar,

You can remove the breadcrumbs by editing lib/pkp/templates/common/breadcrumb.tpl (in OCS 2.3+, at least; you'll have to look in templates/common/ in older versions of OCS). To hide the Current Conferences, you'll want to remove the line that looks something like:

Code: Select all
{if $currentSchedConfsExist}<li><a href="{url schedConf="index" page="schedConfs" op="current"}">{translate key="navigation.current"}</a></li>{/if}

(... again, YMMV with older versions of OCS.)

Cheers,
James
