Cannot edit or delete reviews

Hello,

Once a reviewer posts her review, she is unable to edit it. Clicking the edit button returns this message:

Fatal error: Class 'HandlerValidatorSubmissionComment' not found in /var/www/vhosts/sscqueens.org/subdomains/conferences/httpdocs/pages/reviewer/SubmissionCommentsHandler.inc.php on line 86

Also, we need to delete some completed reviews (both those that have been submitted to Director, and those that have not yet). Clicking delete does not work either. It returns this message:

Fatal error: Class 'HandlerValidatorSubmissionComment' not found in /var/www/vhosts/sscqueens.org/subdomains/conferences/httpdocs/pages/reviewer/SubmissionCommentsHandler.inc.php on line 145

Is there a way for the conference manager to delete reviews?

This is quite a serious problem for us. We must remove all reviews of Directors' submissions before our program committee meeting, as the process is double blind, and take this portion of the review process off the system, as OCS does not provide any way to selectively hide reviews.

I desperately need to delete some submissions under review by tomorrow, as we have our program committee meeting & directors will be able to see who reviewed their abstract and what they wrote. This could be disastrous for our meeting. The only solution we have come up with is to remove these reviews. However, there seems to be no way of deleting reviews! Even if I delete the user, their submission remains. How can it be that this is such a permanent feature, and that there is no override capability available to the Conference Manager? A speedy reply would be most appreciated!

Hi Kate,

Apologies for the delay -- we're a small team, and sometimes responses take a little longer than we'd prefer. You can delete submissions themselves by clicking the "Reject and Archive Submission" link on the submissions' Summary page. Reviews themselves are not deletable -- they form part of the history of the submission, much like an uploaded document at a particular point in the review or editing process. If this is still a problem, you may want to look at how you enroll your Directors within the system -- if they submit to the conference and blind peer review is a part of their submission, they should definitely *not* be enrolled as either a Conference Manager or a full Director -- rather, enrolled as a Track Director if need be, and a managing director enrolled as full Director and so able to assign submissions.

Regarding the errors you are seeing -- can you tell me which version of OCS you are using?

You can unapprove it, and then approve it when you want it displayed.
