What to do if you have a technical problem with OJS:1.
Search the forum. You can do this from the
Advanced Search Page or from our
Google Custom Search, which will search the entire PKP site. If you are encountering an error, we
especially recommend searching the forum for said error.
2.
Check the FAQ to see if your question or error has already been resolved.
3.
Post a question, but please, only after trying the above two solutions. If it's a workflow or usability question you should probably post to the
OJS Editorial Support and Discussion subforum; if you have a development question, try the
OJS Development subforum.

Are messages sent by an editor to an author by clicking on the envelope icon next to the author's name meant to be recorded in the "email log"? I was expecting that they would be, but they don't seem to be. Or maybe I'm doing something wrong.

You must to set a topic (Logging and Auditing) in Journal Policies.

Hi all,
When email logging is enabled in Setup, all emails that are part of the editorial process are logged -- however, any free-form emails created by clicking on an email link (e.g. next to the Author's name or Editor's name) are not recorded in the current release (OJS 2.1.0-1). This has been changed in CVS, and the next release will record all emails that are sent in an article context.

Hi Renate,
Yes, you can enable notifications in Setup Step 3 (under 3.5 Notification of Author Submission).
