I am looking into using OCS for a conference that will potentially have about 1500 presentations. I am VERY worried that the schedule, for example, will be too much for the server and essentially time out every time someone tries to view the page. Also, using the scheduler for a conference of this size might also be a problem. Of course, there are other areas of the website that might present performance issues, but I mention the scheduler, in particular, as it can be very slow.
I would love to hear about the experiences of anyone that has used OCS for very large conferences.

While I can't think of any off the top of my head, you may want to take a look through our OCS Conferences List to see if you can find any large conferences. I'm sure the technical support contacts wouldn't mind sharing their experiences with you. Of course, it's always good to hear publicly on this forum as well how larger-scale use of our software scales, and I hope to see some response here as well.
