What to do if you have a technical problem with OCS:1.
Search the forum. You can do this from the
Advanced Search Page or from our
Google Custom Search, which will search the entire PKP site. If you are encountering an error, we
especially recommend searching the forum for said error.
2.
Check the FAQ to see if your question or error has already been resolved. Please note that this FAQ is OJS-centric, but most issues are applicable to both platforms.
3.
Post a question, but please, only after trying the above two solutions. If it's a workflow or usability question you should probably post to the
OCS Conference Support and Discussion subforum; if you have a development question, try the
OCS Development subforum.

Hi,
The existing TinyMCE in OCS version 2.3.3.1 does not support <iframe> tag. I want to put this tag in "> User > Conference Site Management > Website Management > 3.3 Website Footer" form. Has anyone solved this problem in OCS?
Thanks in advance.
Cheers.
Obi

Hi Obi,
This is a known problem with the TinyMCE widget -- see
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=5920 for some possible solutions.
Cheers,
James

Hi James,
Thanks for your answer. I am a little confused after reading the solutions.
Do you mean editing the database table (static_page_settings) or twinkling StaticPagesEditForm.inc.php?
Cheers.

Hi Obi,
Actually, neither solution will help your case specifically -- this has nothing to do with the static pages plugin. You have two choices: edit the table that contains the conference footer information directly, for a one-time fix (that would be the conferencePageFooter column in the conference_settings table); or edit the TinyMCE plugin behaviour to support iframe tags. See
http://pkp.sfu.ca/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=5278 for a warning about why this could be a security risk, and
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=4621#p17976 for some tips on how to extend TinyMCE.
Cheers,
James
