Developer Resources:

Documentation: The OJS Technical Reference and the OJS API Reference are both available from the OJS Documentation page. While these are OJS-specific, the OCS codebase is similar enough to OJS they should be of help. There is also an OCS Documentation page with some more general documentation that might also be of interest.

Git: You can access our public Git Repository here. Comprehensive Git usage instructions are available on the wiki.

Bugzilla: You can access our Bugzilla report tracker here.

Search: You can use our Google Custom Search to search across our main website, the support forum, and Bugzilla.

Questions and discussion are welcome, but if you have a workflow or usability question you should probably post to the OCS Conference Support and Discussion subforum; if you have a technical support question, try the OCS Technical Support subforum.

Panel - Call

Hy,

we want to offer the possibility to organize a panel (find contributors, etc.). I think the best way would be a small forum. Is there any possibility to open a forum on OCS? Or does a plugin exist?

Thx for your help,
L.

Hi L.,

There currently isn't that kind of functionality in OCS, and there likely won't be a specific plugin for it in the future -- we shy away from reproducing functionality that is already well-covered in other apps, such as bloggin and forum software. There may be other ways to "integrate" content, though -- for example, you may be able to adapt the OJS RSS Feed Plugin (viewtopic.php?f=28&t=5109) for OCS, and then have it display the RSS feed for a forum you've set up separately. You can also link to the forum from the header, or create a custom block with a link to it; and you may also have luck using the LDAP plugin to coordinate sessions between software applications, provided the forum software you use also supports LDAP.

Cheers,
James
