Adding a new Field to Registration in ojs

Postby ushasharma84 » Wed Sep 08, 2010 12:49 am

Hi
I want to add a new field in registraion form in ojs-2.3.1-2 . I know I need to edit /templates/user/register.tpl
classes/user/form/RegistrationForm.inc.php.I searched the forum for this but found file listing for OCS only. So I want to know list of other files i need to edit to add a field in registration form.
Secondly if i want to remove a field from registration form will it be okay if i remove it from tpl file and donot edit code in other files.

Thanks in advance

Hi ushasharma84,

Regarding the first question: see http://www.google.com/cse?cx=0020153632 ... vtsjhpgphc.

Regarding the second question: no, that shouldn't be a problem, unless the field is mandatory in which case you may run into errors.

Cheers,
James
