especially recommend searching the forum for said error.
2.
Check the FAQ to see if your question or error has already been resolved.
3.
Post a question, but please, only after trying the above two solutions. If it's a workflow or usability question you should probably post to the

This has me a bit puzzled since I upgraded to 2.1. I get this output every night from running my runScheduledTasks cronjob:
Notice: Only variable references should be returned by reference in /home/extra3/public_html/ojs/classes/core/Registry.inc.php on line 38
I believe this is the section containing line 38:
/**
* Get the value of an item in the registry.
* @param $key string
* @return mixed
*/
function &get($key) {
$registry = &Registry::getRegistry();
$result = null;
if (isset($registry[$key])) $result = &$registry[$key];
return $result;
}
I don't know what it is complaining about. :/

Hi delong,
This sort of thing has been caused in the past by a buggy version of Zend optimizer. Try disabling the optimizer, if you're running it, and see if the problem goes away -- if so, you might consider upgrading your optimizer.
