What to do if you have a technical problem with OJS:

1. Search the forum. You can do this from the Advanced Search Page or from our Google Custom Search, which will search the entire PKP site. If you are encountering an error, we especially recommend searching the forum for said error.

2. Check the FAQ to see if your question or error has already been resolved.

3. Post a question, but please, only after trying the above two solutions. If it's a workflow or usability question you should probably post to the OJS Editorial Support and Discussion subforum; if you have a development question, try the OJS Development subforum.

Hi all.

I installed OJS 2.2.4.0, on GoDaddy server (shared linux hosting).

I have gone through many threads asking how to remove index.php from URL, but I have not been even able to remove ? and & from my URL's

I have a single journal and have redirected my site to this one.

http://ijict.org/

redirects to

http://ijict.org/index.php?journal=ijoat

How can I make it
http://ijict.org/index.php/ijoat

and
http://ijict.org/index.php?journal=ijoat&page=user to http://ijict.org/index.php/ijoat/user

Hi iedge,

You *may* be able to do this by turning disable_path_info to Off in your config.inc.php file. However, this may not work with the Godaddy server setup, and you may have to switch back.

Cheers,
James

Yeah James,

I can see that. GoDaddy server has some problems. I did try a lot of permutation and combination in config.inc, but none helped me. :(

I always get error {no input file specified}

Its BAD for me :x

James,

Finally GoDaddy was able to help me out. disable_path_info was not working for me on the server. But GD Rep asked me to rename my php.ini file to php5.ini. And it helped. :D

Thanks for your help and suggestions.

Hi iEdge,
I have been having similar issues to solve and have been trying some permutations like you mention.

Where exactly is this php.ini file, that you have renamed, located?
Thanks for your help. :)
