Dear All,
I am using OJS to start my Journal at
www.ijptr.comWhenever I send emails from the OJS, it goes into the spam email and is indicated as a forgery... by gmail..
Is there anyway to get around it... as this questions the credibility of the emails and thus of the Journal.
Looking for some help..
Regards,
Devdeep

Hi Devdeep,
This is an issue with your spam filter, and there is little OJS can do to prevent it. Try adjusting gMail's spam filter settings.
Cheers,
Matt

Matt,
Thanks a lot for your reply.
The only concern is if I send the mails to my ID, I can adjust the settings, but if we send it to some of the subscribers and their mail client also says it is a forgery, then it doesn't look well for the Journal.
Anyways thanks for your help,
Regards,
Devdeep

Hi Matt....
I am the system admin of various OJS, and we and devdeep had successfully sorted out the Gmail Spam problem.
I beleive that its just due to the mail was sent through the cpanel not directly through the mail box. So when gmail was receiving the mail it was having a sign as sent from cpanel of our host uk2.net cpanel. But in mail from area it was from ijptr.com script.
so we fixed this by marking the mail as non spam in various gmail account of us and our friends.
And as after some time....it got out of the spam suspecious...list of gmail.
Thanks Matt for all help.
the matter was good close....

This is a big problem for many auto-sending email system.
If you share an IP with other websites, try to use dedicated IP. We solve the problem by useing dedicated IP.
