OCS 2.3 Testers Required

Are you a Director, Presenter, Reviewer or Conference Manager in need of help? Want to talk to us about workflow issues? This is your forum.

Moderators: jmacgreg, michael

Forum rules
This forum is meant for general questions about the usability of OCS from an everyday user's perspective: conference managers, presenters, and directors are welcome to post questions here, as are librarians and other support staff. We welcome general questions about the role of OCS and how the workflow works, as well as specific function- or user-related questions.

What to do if you have general, workflow or usability questions about OCS:

1. Read the documentation. We've written documentation to cover from OCS basics to system administration and code development, and we encourage you to read it.

2. take a look at the tutorials. We will continue to add tutorials covering OCS basics as time goes on.

3. Post a question. Questions are always welcome here, but if it's a technical question you should probably post to the OCS Technical Support subforum; if you have a development question, try the OCS Development subforum.

OCS 2.3 Testers Required

Postby kstranac » Thu Sep 03, 2009 5:35 am

The PKP Development Team is ready to begin the testing of OCS (2.3), and would like to invite any interested volunteers to test the software.

If you would like to install a test version locally, please follow these instructions to access the files via CVS.

If you would prefer to use our test installation, let us know, and we will create an account for you.

Any bugs should be reported directly into our Bugzilla testing system.

If you'd like an early look at this new release, and would like to contribute to the ongoing enhancement of OJS, contact Kevin (kstranac@sfu.ca) for more information.

Thanks!

Hi all

When do you plan to release the 2.3 version? If it is not to late I would like to test as well!

Hi Kirsten,

Thanks for the offer to test OCS 2.3 -- your insights will be very helpful. The test URL is no longer working, as we will be releasing 2.3 very shortly. If you'd like to test it in the spring, it will be available to download for you to install locally.

If you did want to take a look before we release it, you can access the development files via CVS following these instructions:
http://pkp.sfu.ca/wiki/index.php/Inform ... Developers

All the best in the new year,
Kevin
