Hello All
I work for a educational charity (http://www.data.org.uk) and we are looking to use both OCS and OJS for our future conference events and journal publications. I have experimented with OCS earlier this year (apologies, i am not sure of the exact version) and had a problem with the system's emails being intercepted by users SPAM filters. I hope this can be resolved as I think these systems would be great for us.
I realise this is a problem at the users end but I am wondering if anyone has experienced this and if there's a way to make the emails more SPAM filter friendly?

We have heard reports of this very occasionally, and I'm afraid there's not a whole lot you can do except ask users to add a filter or otherwise check that the email doesn't end up in their Spam folder. One other thing you might want to try is editing any problem emails in the Prepared Emails section -- there may be specific words, depending on your journal/conference, that are triggering your users' spam filters.

Just to add to James' note above -- I'd suggest editing the templates that tend most to get filtered using the Journal Manager's "Prepared Emails" interface. I'd suggest making the templates as specific as possible, i.e. use your organization's name, as that will tend to trigger filters less than the general wording we ship with.

Thanks very much for the replies, I will taylor the templates to be as specific as possible! It's probably for the best that I'm not doing a porn conference or something, that would be problematic!
